ONBOARDING

Welcome!
If you are seeing this page then you will have likely decided to register your son in the Boys' Brigade. We are excited to have him and the rest of your family at our company.
If you have any questions, please direct them to Mr. Daniel Farrugia, the company Captain.
The sections below will guide you through everything you need to know about BB.

1. What is BB?
This video should give you a good insight into why BB exists.
Since 2009 the 14th VIC Werribee Boys' Brigade company has been serving the Wyndham area as a part of the Werribee Baptist Church. Each Tuesday night (during term time) we gather together at WBC for our weekly program. This weekly program follows a model of holisitic development where we seek to develop our Boys educationally, spiritually, physically and socially.
We also take part in activities on weekends such as hiking, camping, day trips, leadership courses, community service activities.

2. Registration
Please follow this link to register your son for the 14th VIC Werribee Boys' Brigade Company.
The cost of a Boys attending BB is $255 for Juniors and $320 for Seniors, but this may change from year to year. This annual fee includes many weekend activities as well as all parade nights for the year. If cost is an issue, please speak to us.
3. Uniform
You will probably have noticed that we wear uniforms in Boys' Brigade. There are several reasons why we wear uniform, some of the main ones are:
1. It provides Boys with a sense of belonging and builds unity
2. Avoids competition or people 'showing off' with fancy brands
3. Teaches responsibility as Boys need to look after and prepare their uniforms
4. Its a great opportunity to teach life skills such as ironing a shirt, tieing a tie and polishing shoes
Often Boys also simply enjoy wearing their uniforms.
In BB we have 2 uniforms, the formal uniform, and the sports uniform. To purchase uniform and to see what items to purchase, please click below.

6. Leadership Training
In Boys' Brigade we take leadership training seriously. When Boys are in year 6 they can begin with the first course 'Aspire'. There are then 5 courses for Boys to complete. More information about those courses can be found here:
Once Boys have completed a certain number of leadership courses. They can be promoted to different ranks where they will given more responsibility and continue to be mentored as they develop their leadership skills. More infomation can be found here:
7. Awards
Badges are another important part of BB. Badges are not given so that Boys can 'look good' or boast to others by showing off their achivements. Badges are given to acknowledge the hard work of Boys and to inspire others to follow their good example. There are many badges that can be obtained in BB, you can find out more about them by clicking below.
